Oktoberfest in August?

#TooSoon........that’s what we think. It seems like every year Oktoberfest beers hit the shelves earlier and earlier. I think I saw the first set of orange labels on the shelf at a grocery store the first week of August. Can we slow down for a minute and enjoy the rest of summer? Maybe we are the oddballs, but I like to drink an Oktoberfest on a cool fall evening. Let’s enjoy the 4 seasons we are blessed with here in Toledo.

Oktoberfest is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16- to 18-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October. This year the event begins on September 22nd and goes through October 7th.

We’re excited to release our Oktoberfest beer on Sept. 22nd to coincide with the first day of Oktoberfest in Munich. It seems like the appropriate time to debut our Oktoberfest and we’re hoping the weather will cool down a bit by then too.

Blessings & Beer,
